Axis Of Light
Made in around 15 hours for the on-site Devtherapy GameJam 2025. Art and sound were created by the team.
Trapped underground, you navigate a forgotten bunker using a mysterious beam of light. It powers machines, burns obstacles, and reveals hidden paths. Along the way, you’ll also find the Rotator. A tool that lets you shift parts of the maze itself to open new routes.
A short game about controlling the environment with light and movement.

The art, UI, and theme of the game is cool. Interacting seems to work well. The frustration revolves around the flashlight mechanic.
First of all, I think it would be nice to have toggle and holding options for flashlight activation/deactivation. Mainly though, the flashlight is difficult to aim as you are unable to stand still, and the characters rotation automatically reverts to a horizontal direction when you let go. This makes the game difficult to progress.
